Using july 18 commercial build The green diamond icon indicating a folder has a new message doesn't go away upon deleting or moving all new messages out of the folder. It should lose its newness upon moving the last new message. Steps to reproduce: 1. Login to IMAP account (delete is set to Move to Trash), select INBOX. 2. Read all messages so there are no new or unread messages -- INBOX should have no New/green icon and should not have bold attribute or show unread in the message count next to folder name. 3. Close the message pane. 4. Send the account a new message, Get that message. Folder name shows BOLD and green icon in the folder pane. 5. Select the new message and Delete it or Move/File it to another folder in the same account. Folder name doesn't lose its new/green icon and name is still bold. Result: Folder name in folder pane doesn't lose NEW message indicator after deleting or moving the only new message. Expected: Folder name should lose NEWness.

I was trying to reproduce this bug. A few questions: When you say: 5. Select the new message and Delete it or Move/File it to another folder in the same account. Folder name doesn't lose its new/green icon and name is still bold. When you say select the new message, do you mean select with shift & mouse click on the new message? Because if you select it by clicking on it, it would become recognized as read and the green diamond goes away. When I try to select just the new message this way and try to delete it, I am crashing. Build 07-20-00 However I think I can select one old message and then this new message and should be able to try and reproduce this.

See step #3 -- hide the message pane, then selecting a message won't cause it to download and go to READ state.
If we can reproduce this I think this should be nsbeta3 since it will get really annoying if the icon is not working correctly.
