User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 When a user goes to the "Get Add-ons" tab in the Tools -> Add-ons section and types in a query, for some reason the first result is always cut off. I.e., if a user wants to download AdBlock and types that in, AdBlock won't even show up as the first result. For example, if AdBlock were result number 1, the Get Add-ons program will never show it (but results 2 - 6 would be shown, but usually irrelevant). But if you go to the FF extensions site manually and enter the same query (AdBlock) it will show up as the first result. I have tried this using Safe-mode and regular mode and the bug still appears in both. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Get Add-ons 2. Type in AdBlock (or any other common ext name) 3. You'll notice in the results AdBlock is not even listed since it's the very first result. 4. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ and type in same query. 5. Only now will you see the extension you're looking for (in this case, AdBlock). Actual Results: The first logical result is always cut off. The only way to download it is to go to the site manually. Expected Results: AdBlock should have been shown (or whatever common extension the user is looking for).

Works fine for me. My guess is you just have AdBlock plus installed and the Get Add-ons window doesn't show installed extensions in the search list.

Yes, the get add-ons panel hides any add-ons that you already have installed or are not compatible with your version of Firefox. I can certainly see adblock at the top of the list just fine. Do you already have adblock installed?

You're right. I didn't realize that the query automatically skips the already-installed add-ons. I just assumed the add-on would still appear in the search, but say something like "already installed." Sorry about the mistake.
