458511 - Passwords are gone and keep disappearing after i shut down my laptop

When i upgraded to this version, all my passwords disappeared including file %APPDATA%, so i started reentering my passwords...that night i shut off my laptop and the next day, the saved passwords were gone again along with the file....so tried again and same results..i can not retain my passwords or password file after i shut down my machine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.enter passwords---and have firefox save it....
2.shut down machine
3.restart and check security file and passwords are gone...go to microsoft search and look for %APPDATA% encluding in hidden files and there is no file



Passwords should have been saved....and i should have found the file that contains my password

I have the same problem but all I seem to have to do is shut Firefox down. When I restart FF 3.0.10 the usernames/passwords are gone.

WinXP Pro all SP up to date.

This is a mass search for bugs which are in the Firefox General component, are
UNCO, have not been changed for 500 days and have an unspecified version. 

Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or later, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the issue, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the status to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
