Have downloaded the latest version of Firefox twice in the past 24 hours... to an eMac running Mac OS X version 10.3.9. Installation process appears to be normal until I try to open the browser. The Firefox icon then appears briefly in the dock and NOTHING happens. Perhaps my operating system is too old (???). Crash log entries from my console are as follows:

From the Firefox3 Release notes ( http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html ):
Mac
Operating Systems
* Mac OS X 10.4 and later
Please use FF2.X instead which should work with OS X 10.39

Installed FF2.X and it worked fine. Obviously my OS a little long in the tooth (like me!)
Resolution: INVALID → FIXED
Summary: Firefox browser simply will not work. → Firefox V3 browser simply will not work. V2 works fine

I'm glad that Firefox2 works for you !
We dropped the support of OS X 10.39 and Windows 98 with Firefox3 and there are many reasons for this. You should consider upgrading to a later OS X version :-)
marking invalid because this is no bug on our side and fixed is only used if something got changed in the source code.
