User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008091700 SUSE/3.0.3-1.1 Firefox/3.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008091700 SUSE/3.0.3-1.1 Firefox/3.0.3
Firefox crashes about 1/2 to 3/4 into a flash load when accessing this url. Access the url, select "record search", then click on the flash arrow. The flash loads about 1/2 to 3/4 before closing firefox.
When installing using rpm the user is told to have the administrator remove xpti.dat in the /home/user/.mozilla/firefox/dwyyhglp.default directory.
If this is done at the completion of the install the url can be access and used as designed. If firefox is then closed and re-opened to the same url following the same steps results in firefox closing/crashing. A check on the above directory finds the xpti.dat file present, but removing the file and restarting firefox, accessing the same url and procedure results in firefox closing/crashing. Only a reinstall, deletion of xpti.dat and then running firefox allows access to the url.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. access the url listed above
2. select record search
3. click on the flash arrow
Actual Results:
firefox closes/crashes
Expected Results:
a search screen
a crash report is available upon request
