459025 - Feature Request: New View Mode = Display only new messages and msg that are marked "watch"

Hi all,

I want that only messages at a newsgroup are displayed when they are one of the following:
1) new, unread messages
2) watched, unread messages
3) watched, read messages

I was requesting in the news group:de.comm.software.mozilla.mailnews
if i can setup Thunderbird* or install a addon to do it, but they say "make a feature request".

Point 1 and 2 can be done with a build in "view filter":

german version: "Ansicht" > "Themen" > "Beobachtete, ungelesene Beiträge"

free translation: "View" > "Topics" > "Watched, unread messages"

It would be great if someone can add feature for me.

at the moment there is no way to configure Thunderbird to do this

Expected Results:  
should do what i wrote in "Details"

i found a lot of people in the newsgroup and via google that want to have this feature, too

Could you try to see if it still happens with
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1/ ?

Add new "view" widget to toolbar you can resolve your issue?
