exhibit url argument processing

Right now, it's impossible to link to a specific set of activated filters. Often, I'd like to send folks to the status of only the 'tb3' tree for instance, and that's currently impossible.

Turns out (thanks dfhuynh@alum.mit.edu!) it's actually not too difficult to achieve.

The attached patche enables 'tree' amd 'status' filtering by query arguments. Adding more filters should be very simple too.

Yes, it works, and I've reverted my copy and updated yours and it works just fine.
