User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 Dragging a URL to the Windows Desktop generates an Internet Shortcut and uses a cleaned version of the page's Title as the filename. Dragging that same Internet Shortcut in to the 'Organise Bookmarks...' dialog results in the loss of the Title. Instead the page's remote file name is extracted from the URL. This usually results in an unhelpful Bookmark name such as 'home.php', 'watch' or 'showthread.php'. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Drag URL from Navigation Toolbar to Desktop. Note name given to Shortcut is page title. 2. Open Bookmarks | Organise Bookmarks... 3. Drag same Internet Shortcut from Desktop to right hand pane of Library window. Actual Results: The 'Name' field in the Library window is populated with the remote file name from the URL. Expected Results: The 'Name' field should be populated with the local filename of the Internet Shortcut. The problem can be fixed by manually copying the file name from the Shortcut and pasting it in to the name field within the Library dialog.
In case it's confusing, the text that begins 'Dragging a URL to the Windows Desktop generates an Internet Shortcut...' is expected behavior and was included only to help reproduce the problem.
