Create a "contact us" form that will route questions appropriately. If logged in, the members' sfx username will automatically be filled in, as well as their name and email address. If not logged in, the users should enter a name and email address so we can get in touch with them. In addition, there should be a pull-down menu to route the question/comment to the appropriate group. It should be possible for a vanguard user to edit those options and the email addresses the message should be routed to. - Spreadfirefox support - Affiliates - Logos, trademarks - Events - Press - Other Finally, there should be a message field (with subject)

Is someone going to publish these?
I still need to update the text etc. Will let you know when it's ready to publish.
Hi there: Edits from Alix and myself: *Redirect email should be: firstname.lastname@example.org (I will do this) *Add description (in lieu of "Contact us"): Need some help or have a question or suggestion? Please fill out the form to contact the Spread Firefox team and we'll get back to you! If you have any Firefox-related support questions, please visit Mozilla's community-supported help site [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+Support+Home+Page]. (I will do this) *Copy under "username field": Please change "spreadfirefox" to "Spread Firefox" *Please change: "Spreadfirefox support" to "Spread Firefox support" *Please change: "Logos, trademarks" to "Logos & trademarks" *Add these two options: **My account **Campus reps Thanks!
@ Paul I just made all the changes for Mary as she asked here and via email. with the exception of all form selection in order for me to set it up I had to have a new email for each selection on the email forum and I did change the contact root email to email@example.com " I am not sure if it cc to firstname.lastname@example.org ? " email@example.com|Spread Firefox support firstname.lastname@example.org|Affiliates email@example.com|Logos & trademarks firstname.lastname@example.org|Events email@example.com|Press firstname.lastname@example.org|Other email@example.com|My account firstname.lastname@example.org|Campus reps I just sent out a test from email to Mary to see if it goes to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org and a email to email@example.com|My account to see if it also goes to firstname.lastname@example.org @ Mary if we need do it this way all emails can be changed
Hey there: I got those emails. This is great -- a few changes: email@example.com|Events ---> firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com|Press --> firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com|Other ---> firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com|Campus reps --> firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks -- this is great that it will be so streamlined.
Thanks Jamey :-) Coming to this shortly ..

All changes look to have been made. I have taken out the "My account" which was there for testing purposes only. Can i clarify if i need to add the line.. email@example.com|Other Best, Paul
@paul you want me to change back the Authoring information if so what username ?
I'll leave that decision to Mary.
Hey there: Actually, the email address for "Other" should be "firstname.lastname@example.org". email@example.com is still the "from" address for everything :) I am not sure what you mean by the authoring info being changed...
I can't see an "Other" option at the present time. Please see screenshot with regards to authoring
Paul: I found the authoring section, but not sure about it's relevance. Is it something the user sees in the email or just for our internal purposes? Jamey: - E-mail from address: This needs to be firstname.lastname@example.org vs. the new email@example.com - "Other" option: Can you add this back in? Seems to have disappeared. Thanks!
Hey Jamey and Paul: Checking in here. Paul: can you clarify the authoring section (comment #15) Jamey: can you make those two changes above? Thanks!
@Mary this is what I have firstname.lastname@example.org|Spread Firefox support email@example.com|Affiliates firstname.lastname@example.org|Logos & trademarks email@example.com|Events firstname.lastname@example.org|Press email@example.com|My account firstname.lastname@example.org|Campus reps @Paul do you want me to change E-mail to address: Webform mail settings E-mail to address: from email@example.com to firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi Jamey: We also need "Other" and that can direct to email@example.com. "Email from" should be firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
email@example.com|Spread Firefox support firstname.lastname@example.org|Affiliates email@example.com|Logos & trademarks firstname.lastname@example.org|Events email@example.com|Press firstname.lastname@example.org|Other email@example.com|My account firstname.lastname@example.org|Campus reps @ mary this work ?
(In reply to comment #16) > Hey Jamey and Paul: Checking in here. > > Paul: can you clarify the authoring section (comment #15) Allows you control who the post is attributed to . > Jamey: can you make those two changes above? > > Thanks!
(In reply to comment #19) Hi Jamey, just one correction: > email@example.com|Spread Firefox support should be firstname.lastname@example.org|Spread Firefox support email@example.com will remain the site's "From" address. The contact form is intended to quickly triage the incoming requests and also limit the spam we're getting on those addresses (which is why we're using a form instead of publishing the addresses directly). Thanks!
please confirm mary Ill make all the changes you need we can not have duplicate emails on the setup module with this module if I have 2 firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com |Spread Firefox support firstname.lastname@example.org |Other only 1 will show on the "Contact Us webform page"
Ah - I understand now. Alix had a great idea -- let's combine Spread Firefox support and other. So: Support and other inquiries | email@example.com Thanks!
OK seen here http://www.spreadfirefox.com/contact-us Support and other inquiries Affiliates Logos & trademarks Events Press My account Campus reps
Great - this looks good. To confirm: does the firstname.lastname@example.org get all the submitted contact forms so we can make sure stuff is getting followed up on? Or is it just the "Support and other inquiries"? Alix: Where was the "Contact Us" link going to live on the site? Thanks for all the work!
It would be good to have it in the site-wide footer as well as in the FAQ since it's typically the 2 places where people look for "Contact Us".
Hi Jamey: Do you have the ability to update the footer? If so, can you move this content down just a tad: Spread Firefox is built on the Drupal open source content management platform as Mozilla's official community marketing site. Special thanks to Glaxstar & GraphicsGuru for the donation of software development & graphics design services. Can you then add the following links above it? "Contact us" "Logos" [Link to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/about/logo/] "Buttons" [Link to affiliate page] "FAQ" "Download Firefox" [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/} "Firefox Support" [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+Support+Home+Page] "Mozilla Store" [http://store.mozilla.org/] Thanks so much!
@ Mary footer has been updated -Jamey
Hey Jamey: Thanks for doing that. I got three emails this morning to the sfx-admins alias with the subject: Form submission from: [title]. It was regarding affiliates, but David never got the email. Is there any way to tell if the sender had selected "affiliates"? Also, can the email generate the same subject that a user submits vs. Form submission from:? It would be more useful in identifying these emails and making sure they get answered. Thanks!
P.s. it looks like the sender just used the "Support and other inquiries" option so please disregard the first part of my comment above. Thanks!
Hey there: We seem to be getting three copies of each incoming email. Can someone check into it? Thanks!
this contact form is live, http://www.spreadfirefox.com/contact-us so is this bug now for the three incoming emails? If so, we can change the title this time, but in the future it would be awesome if we could close this bug when the created form was launched, and file a new one for continuing problems. Thanks!
Are we still getting multiple copies of Contact Us submissions?
Yep - I will start a separate bug. The remaining contact form issues are: - need a new category added - "Marketing Ideas" - which I can do. - 3 copies of each email come in. - Still can't submit a comment if you're not logged in despite permissions being reset so you can do so.
Ok, closing this bug. I've got bug 478825 on file for a making a better, working contact us form. I'll include the new category in that bug.
