(In reply to comment #6) > Do you see this for all mails, or just some? the pb is not constant there is no visible connexion to the type (html or not) content (image or not) I try to figure the commun point but nothing for now. the more confusing is it doesnt work on day and the next day it work on the same message very frustrating !

bug 365467 had more than one landing date, so it /could/ be source of the regression. If so, then your problem is closely related to or dupe of bug 459949. If you focus away from 3 pane and focus back does copy now work?

FWIW, I’m not able to copy any text from any window or view on current and recent trunk builds using Win 2000. No greyed out menu items, selections or e-mail addresses just don’t appear to have been copied when pasting in e.g. notepad. No problems with other apps, likely a regression from an older bug?

WFM here on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2pre) Gecko/20090727 Lightning/1.0pre Shredder/3.0b4pre ID:20090727034746 Could you try to see if it still happens with http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1/ ?

No problem with that or any other version on Win 2000 (NT 5.0). This bug’s problem however appears to be different from the ones named in comment 9. See bug 502356 for those, and the likely version they got introduced in.
