459215 - checksum-files script should not generate sums for files inside of the 'unsigned' directory

We're hitting this because we're now running this script from within the candidates directory. We could solve this by moving the 'unsigned' builds away before running this script, hardcoding it to exclude the 'candidates' dir, or perhaps some other way.

you could do this once in gather_files(), but this is ok.
