Middle mouse button click on any website inside bookmarks won't update visit date.

Can you give exact steps to reproduce? For I can't reproduce it.

1. Go to one website (for example: site X)
2. Bookmark that website (Ctrl-D)
3. Open your bookmarks and click with your MIDDLE mouse button on site X
4. Open 'organize bookmarks' with CTRL-SHIFT-B
5. Check 'visit date' and 'visit count' on site X - they are NOT updated

are you sure your history is correctly working? can you check if the visit appear in history sidebar?

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
