User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3
Build Identifier:

I have a dozen channels configured for auto-join, and half of them will send me a welcome message of some sort when I join. So after I start the client or resume my computer from standby, I get half a dozen beeps, ChatZilla will flash in the taskbar (I'm using XULRunner) and half the channels will be highlighted in red. This is quite annoying. It doesn't happen in any other IRC client I tried.

The only way to avoid this right now is to disable "Aggressive notify" in the prefs, but that makes me miss things that really matter: highlights and private messages.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Set "Open this channel at startup" for, say, irc://freenode/linguistics and restart ChatZilla
Actual Results:
Beep, flashing taskbar and red channel tab

If someone sends you a NOTICE, do you expect to get a beep or not?
