User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092816 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092816 Position between search results should be preserved. If new search results contains previously selected entry, then selection should stay same. If not, then selection should jump to nearest neighbor. It is for usecase when you don't remember name or address of certain cite, but remember name or address of "history neighbor" of this site. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. History -> Show All History. 2. Enter some search term. 3. Select some history entry from past (not last entry). 4. Erase search term by clicking on "sweep" or with backspace. Actual Results: Selection resets. Expected Results: Selection doesn't change. So it is possible to locate "history neighborhood" of search entry after clearing search filter.

I see this bug has been classified as trivial, but 9 years to fix a trivial bug? This would be an incredibly helpful change for me also. Please consider implementing what must be a small code change in the next version, please.
