On the N810, there is a back button to the left of the screen which navigates the web via the back button. On the default browser shipped with the Nokia, this actually does back navigation. On fennec (alpha 1 candidate), this button appears to be ignored. We should work with hard buttons on the devices we support.

This button isn't actually ignored, it does dismiss things like the bookmarks list. It might not be too difficult to have it do double duty though. In the mean time, the backspace key does go back.

are we going for full device support? On the HTC we just landed zoom support with the click wheel. If the future Maemo devices have similar hardbuttons, we should get this in.

Actually the device dispatch a VK_ESCAPE when we hit this key. I'm not sure we want ESC to go back one page.

(In reply to comment #3) > Actually the device dispatch a VK_ESCAPE when we hit this key. I'm not sure we > want ESC to go back one page. Yes, it dispatches a VK_ESCAPE which is why we used to make it work like a desktop ESC. But the built-in web browser on the N810 uses it like a "back" button, so we changed to mimic this behavior.

This is a mass change. Every comment has "assigned-to-new" in it. I didn't look through the bugs, so I'm sorry if I change a bug which shouldn't be changed. But I guess these bugs are just bugs that were once assigned and people forgot to change the Status back when unassigning.
