On Firefox 3.0.3, open the only tab to the referenced URL. In the Windows Task Manager, Firefox's memory usage keeps increasing with no apparent limit. On my box, memory usage increased at roughly 1 MB/second. This causes huge page file swaps for Windows, and made it unresponsive for several seconds. When I accidentally left the page open overnight, Firefox had crashed in the morning. Firefox 3.1b1 shows the same problem, but memory usage accumulates more slowly, about 200K/second. I witnessed memory usage start at 82MB and increase to 160MB. Eventually garbage collection occurs, though. I haven't let this version run overnight. This is reproducible with other product pages at llbean.com Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Go to specified URL.
I can not confirm this with Seamonkey trunk on vista. it's cycling from 118MB to 130 with several tabs, cz and Mailnews open but it always returns to 118MB. I see an increase with FF3.0.3 (stopped at 70MB from 30MB after start) but someone should check the trunk or 3.1b1
Created attachment 367888 [details] FFX 3.0.7 memory usage i have this problem too. when i start chatting in Facebook , the memory usage increase till FF crash.
I have a similar problem. If I go to a specific page, it will load up FF to 1.3 GB of memory. This page is merely a BBCode forum, with a handful of stock icons on the page.
