I can't import an ldif into my address book without crashing mozilla. Build is
my own using the latest source from the latest folder on 7/20/2000.

It crashed on my own address book, so I created and exported a very simple one,
attached below. Crashed on this one too. The two last errors I got before it
crased are listed below, but seem unrelated.

I can't reproduce here on Linux build 2000072009 with the LDIF file that you
posted. I suggest that the problem may be related to your build or your
system. Can you get a backtrace? Marking WFM for the time being.

That's neat. Can anyone explain how this is resolved with no resolution?
suresh - can you give a try?

reporter: can you try on a new profile and see what happens?
I cannot reproduce this bug. I can import a ldif using today's Linux build (both
commercial and mozilla build). Able to read the cards in it. I tried with a new
profile.
from reporter via email: I'm confused; I downloaded today's Linux build and it
doesn't seem to include the address book or the email client; at least, not the
talkback build.

(Hugh - you can comment directly in the bug report.)
hcaley@loomer.com did you delete your previous install.
Until user can get the current Mozilla installed w/address book and mail, leave
this unconfirmed.
I did a complete erasure of all previous versions of mozilla, including my ~/

.mozilla folder, before building and installing this latest version, and then

later I downloaded the pre-built talkback linux version, but it did not have the

address book

hcaley@loomer.com can you try ths again with a current build please. Thanks.
Sorry, lost the bug id. Recently builds have not had this problem.

great to hear. I'll mark this worksforme then. Thank you.
