Nelson, please provide more information about what is needed - but it appears this can be done via the admin UI.
Assignee: nobody → bmo2008
The procedure to do this is:

1) login to support-stage as admin.

2) Go to http://support-stage.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tiki-newsearch.php, conduct some searches using common search terms. Evaluate the results of the search.

3) Go to http://support-stage.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tiki-admin_newsearch.php, change the settings for weights.

4) Try search again, compare results.
Depends on: 464851
Testing any search on <http://support-stage.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tiki-newsearch.php> produces no results.

Yeah, that's due to bug 464851, which is also preventing me from further testing.
Original weights:
data : 1
description : 2
keywords : 1
pagename : 6
tags : 6

New weights:
data : 3
description : 5
keywords : 1
pagename : 2
tags : 2

For the most part, the search results are consistent no matter the indexing weights. I tried terms from the top search terms list and looked for results among the weekly issues.

Thanks, Chris; verified.

Just to add: weights for keywords should be 30 or something high to be effective (these refer to the manual keywords)
