Using Firefox 3.1b1, OS X 10.5

Firefox now correctly detects when my net goes down, and goes into offline mode. However, what is really annoying is that I cannot even access localhost when in in this mode.

STR:
1. Set up some sort of service or server on your computer
2. Go into offline mode
3. Try to access the service

Actual result:

You get the "Offline mode" page that says it can't connect

Expected result:

You should be able to connect no matter what the external network status is.
