User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092510 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092510 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.3
downloaded file sometimes contains strange content-type and content-range headers, file will be corrupt but file size doesn't change.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
If you try to download this file:
http://www.ccc.de/wahlcomputer/CCC-BerichtBrandenburg.pdf
it will have a different md5sum (but exact same size) everytime you try. I have managed to get the original file and made a diff to a corrupted version:
http://pastebin.com/f79fec26c
(i converted both files to hex with hd and then made diff -u)
--- is the corrupted file
+++ is the working one
The content-Type and content-range headers seem to be created by the server but a quick test with opera showed that different browsers seem to behave different. I wasn't able to do one single uncorrupted download with firefox but with opera two out of two tries were correct.
someone has managed to reproduce this bug with another browser, so it's probably not firefox' fault.
