I'm not sure whether it's my internet connection or not, but the pages fail to load very often. i have to refresh every page at least once for it to load correctly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.simply enter a website to visit

Actual Results:  
it either takes forever, or fails to load.

Expected Results:  
it should've actually loaded the page within an instant.

This works fine for me. Did you also try clearing your cache?
Also, did you try safe-mode to exclude extension problems? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
