despite manually clearing 'private data', setting the browser to remember sites for only one day, the drop down menu of visited sites from the main toolbar will not clear. nothing gets rid of weeks old websites. Now it's not remembering newly visted sites either.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. cleared private data several times
2. checked all security/privacy/content/browser settings
3. restarted, rebooted, opened new browsers
Actual Results:
I go to the drop down menu of visited sites from the navigation toolbar, and it keeps showing very old sites, but not recently visited sites. I have tried several times to "Clear Private Data" and have checked everything under Tools > Options and nothing helps clear the old sites from the drop down menu generated by the navigation toolbar.
Expected Results:
Nothing.
Cleared the sites from the nav bar.

Do you realize that the location bar in FF 3 also displays *bookmarks* ? You can't erase them with Clear Private Data.
probably a dupe of bug 423507
