Crash Data

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2pre) Gecko/20081027 Minefield/3.1b2pre
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2pre) Gecko/20081027 Minefield/3.1b2pre

On Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 is the only operating system I seem to constanly have this problem on. When I attempt to start 3.0 or Minefield from a desktop shortcut it crashes out of the program.

However when I start it by feeding a URL to the default browser it opens just fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Be on a Windows XP SP3 Professional PC
2. Try and open 3.0 or Minefield from the Desktop Shortcut
Actual Results:
WIndow appears for a brief second, and then closes and the Mozilla Crash Reporter appears.

Expected Results:
Should open and run properly.

I was not able to reproduce this on my home computer which runs Microsoft Windows Home SP3, just on my work computer that has Microsoft Windows Professional SP3.

This even occurs on a fresh installation.

Does that same thing with -safe-mode and even trying to start it with an alternative profile. These were also completely fresh installations with no addons.

You seem to have a backdoor/trojan on your system

most likely the trojan is exetomon.dll

It happens on the released version of 3.0, 3.0.1, and 3.0.2 also
Version: Trunk → 3.0 Branch

Thanks, I found that file and quarantined it, and Minefield and the 3.0.s start properly now, I couldn't find anything on the web about that DLL, any other parts of that Trojan that need to be removed?
@Matthew, though it does not really matter now the bug is closed, you are using Minefield/3.1b2pre
this means the version is Trunk, not 3.0 Branch. If you were using 3.0.3, or something like that, then it would, but please leave as Trunk.

Because this is occurring on Trunk, which is the latest, it is marked as the latest version it occurs on (Trunk).
It did it as well when I used 3.0.* let me find that crash ID real quick

For some reason the "please wait... we are processing your report" never completes processing for me. One of these is going to be a 3.0.* crash,

Minefield is just the one that I used to report, since by the time I reported it I had already uninstalled my 3.0 versions

Some of these are Minefield, some are 3.0.*

Ah, latest version, never mind, that makes sense
Alright, just for your future references so you can diagnose any difference or similarities.

3.0: 3cb28682-a4f2-11dd-a260-001a4bd43ed6
Trunk: e4b5d95e-a51f-11dd-822c-001a4bd43e5c
We don't need more information, this is marked as dupe and it seems this is not our fault at all.

You should send this dll to anti-Virus venderos with a short description.
