I've created a xhtml page with javascript that hangs firefox2 with firebug 1.2.1 activated, the page is validable without error.

It works with firefox3 and same version of firebug firefox 2.0.0.17 coredumps with a segmentation fault the same page with firefox2 but firebug disabled works. too.

Web developer (firefox plugin) doesn't report any problem for javascript, css, html and the browser is not in quirks mode

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. tar xzf firefox2.0.0.17_firebug1.2.1.tgz in a webserver accessible path
2. load from firefox 2.0.0.17 the http://yourpath/index.html
3. if firebug 1.2.1 is disabled you will see the page, if firebug 1.2.1 is active on that url, it core dumps.
Actual Results:
In the archive you will find also the gdb backtrace of the .core generated.

Expected Results:
load the page with firebug active without any core dumps.
there is the testcase
confirmed here. May be a dupe of bug 237823 but I can't verify the signature.

Crashed out with 2.0.0.17, Firebug 1.2.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.5.
