User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092414 Firefox/3.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092414 Firefox/3.0.3

The above URL uses an SSL certificate with a long registered name. When the page is displayed the certificate name takes up a large proportion of the location bar. The location is present on the right, but on smaller screens it is completely obscured and there is no way to adjust the bar so that you can see the URL for the page you are on.

Either limiting the amount of space which can be taken up by the certificate, or allowing the user to adjust the boundary between the certificate and the location would get around this.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Visit an https site where the certificate is registered to a group with a long name
2.Try to view the page location.

Actual Results:
Location is not visible as it is shunted off the right hand side of the location bar.

Expected Results:
There is some way to bring the location back into the bar.
That's improved in Firefox 3.1, see bug 429722. I see currently "THE SCIENCE ENGI...ICS NETWORK (UK)"), which is still butt-ugly IMHO. See bug 455334 for further improvements.
