I have at least one tab. I open a new one either by CTRL+T or double-click in the tab area. The focus goes automatically the the adress bar (good). I type wharever URL there and it does not get opened in the new tab, but in the previous one!!

Then I can navigate back an forth by clicking in the navigation buttons and the actions are performed in the previous tab as well.

XP in English, Firefox in Spanish.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open firefox, you get your home page
2. Press CTRL+T
3. Type a new URL, like www.mozilla.org, press Enter
Actual Results:
The new URL is opened in the first tab that was displaying your home page. The new tab remains blank

Expected Results:
The new URL is opened in the new tab
Google bar Beta 5 was causing the problem. Rolled back to the latest stable version and problem gone!!
