I believe very strongly that this should be WONTFIX. You can do this type of thing with a plugin if it bothers you so tremendously. I don't see it as something we should be doing. User Agent Switcher in Firefox is also a plugin, you can't just arbitrarily turn off or alter the UA string there, either - not from the plain user-facing UI, anyway.
