On Vista we are currently not using the native appearance for text fields in the location bar and search bar because of the site button and search buttons that cap onto the end of each field.  This bug is to recreate the native Vista appearance with images, similar to our approach for these same fields on OS X, so that the fields look native, and we can also have them correctly flow into the design of the site button and search button.
