* Go to the Contributors forum, and go to page 3. No threads are displayed. * New posts in old threads such as <http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=en-US&comments_parentId=90712&forumId=3> are not bumping the old thread to the first page. * My sticky thread on updating articles for Firefox 3.1 is no longer visible. <http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=en-US&comments_parentId=174740&forumId=3> Might be related to bug 425135 comment 48. This probably also affects the OT forum.
Nelson/Eric: any chance of a quick fix for this? We need to make sure the contributor and off-topic forums aren't affected by the "don't show threads older than 30 days" optimization.
bug 425135 comment 48 was reverted in bug 425135 comment 66 but this problem wasn't fixed. Bumping to major.
as a temporary workaround, you can add a large &time_control=172800000 to the query string. I will post a patch shortly.
Eric, can you create a patch that makes: tiki-view_forum.php check that the forum Id is part of a comma separated list of forumsIds specifiable by admin in tiki-admin_include_forums.php? Refer to r18072
Created attachment 349472 [details] [diff] [review] patch to make forum performance prefs by forum Seems to do the trick. Please note that when this is pushed to stage/production, you'll need to visit /tiki-admin.php?page=forums and specify which forums you want the performance pref to apply to. Otherwise it won't apply to any because that's the default.
Comment on attachment 349472 [details] [diff] [review] patch to make forum performance prefs by forum in r20219/r20220 as patch except default in setup/prefs.php set to "1" so no admin config needed before it takes effect.
Post-patch, I'm seeing no problems with any of the pages in the Contributors' Forums (http://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-view_forum.php?locale=en-US&forumId=3, etc.). Chris, would you mind taking a look as well? Thanks!
Can we resync the database to test this?
(In reply to comment #8) > Can we resync the database to test this? oremj: is it possible to get a production dump of the SUMO article/KB/forum DB(s), and import to support-stage, or would that take a really long time?
Sorry, Jeremy; cc:d you after I made comment 9; is this something you or someone else in IT could take a look at? Thanks!
Chris, now that this is live in production, is this fixed? The sticky thread from comment 0 is in, certainly.
This bug report includes the problem of "New posts in old threads are not bumping the old thread to the first page." This has not been fixed. See bug 472310
