This may not necessarily be a bug, however, many live media players using Flash will bring Firefox to 50% CPU usage -- This is understandable, but because Firefox uses a single process window you cannot browse the web in other tabs. I am forced to open up IE when watching streaming videos from Firefox.
Reproducible: Always

If Flash is laggy there's not much Firefox can do about it. I normally tell reporters to report problems with non-Mozilla add-ons to their developers, but Flash has always been a CPU hog so there's not much you can do. If you haven't yet updated to Flash 10 I suggest you do so, as it's much better.

Yes, but the problem is not with flash, it is Firefox having no option to open a new window in a new process. Nearly all systems now a days have dual-core technology or MP's. It makes no sense that FF cannot use this to it's advantage by splitting Firefox into 2 processes and binding one to each processor. That is what Affinity exists and why my system as well as Internet Explorer are both still stable with Flash is being a CPU hog.

If your complaint is on lack of better process handling, I'm sure there are a few other bugs on that you can mark this a duplicate of.
