New locales need to have in-product pages used by Firefox listed here: http://l10n.mozilla.org/webdashboard/?project=0&task=Firefox+3+in-product+pages Since web pages are a moving target with content and markup changing over time, Pascal will follow up here with the status quo on that.
Component: Other → vi / Vietnamese
QA Contact: vietnamese.vi
When will we able to translate these in-product pages?

Here is the archive of files to translate
Thank you, Pascal.
Attached file vi-web-parts.zip
Here are the translated web parts. The "Getting Started" page (central/index.html) is partly translated as we're still working with Stas on bug 463444.
Ping?
I'll work on Vietnamese web parts this week, thanks.
The web parts look ok, I'd like to hear from Stas and Pike about the state of your localization on the product side before adding Vietnamese as a new supported language on mozilla.com. Stas, Pike, are we targetting a beta release in 3.0.6 ?
Hi, I think Stas has a message for you at the end of bug 463444 's comment #18.
Vietnamese is targeting 3.1 only, not 3.0.x.
Ok, so it's a bit too soon to close this bug, we will probably have changes to the in-product pages content for 3.1
Has there been any progress on the in-product content changes? I noticed that Person, a new language for this release, has already been pushed live.
Persian, sorry, not Person. :^)
(In reply to comment #11) > Has there been any progress on the in-product content changes? I noticed that > Person, a new language for this release, has already been pushed live. Vietnamese je next on my todo list
committed to svn, vietnamese added as a supported locale on svn/trunk

Will the "tips.html" page be still available for Fx 3.5? I'd like to translate it too, because the "tips/index.html" file in your archive is not a template file, it only has a link pointing to mozilla-europe.org/en... And how about the other pages like "features", "switch"...?
you don't have to translate the tips page, web metrics show that it was not a popular page at all for users and it doesn't seem to help adoption of Firefox. Same for other pages, we do not translate all pages of the sites because of the size of the project (75 languages, aiming at 100). We target the pages that represent maybe like 10% of content but represent +90% of page views.
