I think the firefox developers has try to improve its loading time in webpages so that they have defaulty reduce the jpeg compression bit more in firefox3. But this would affect to those who like to see there websites much sharper & nicely(not in a bit blured way).I am a webdesigner. So I have gone through this problem many times & I have noticed that even firefox 2 looks better jpg quality than firefox 3.So please give a solution to this or please dont continue this mistake for future firefox versions.Bcos I like firefox a lot.Thanks.Pls reply me if you can. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
possible dupe of bug 425441 though we need confirmation by looking at the code on the specific pages you are seeing this on to see whether the height and width dimensions the page instructs the image to be displayed mismatch the actual dimensions of the image.
What Mardeg is saying is that the images might be resized by the browser, if the displayed width/height is different from the real width/height. That's something that you should try to avoid, because resizing an image will always blur it somehow. The resize algorithm has indeed changed, and some images might now look worse. But others look better ofcourse, it's difficult to get it right for all images..

I think that this is the same problem as bug 477728.
