Please add preferences option to NOT open several tabs on middle click to a bookmarks folder (but just to ignore such a click).

So this would be a "Ignore middle-click on Bookmark Folder". What would happen then, nothing? I think this will end up being WONTFIX.

Yes, should happen nothing.

The reason why I request this feature is that incidental opening a big number of tabs (because of incidental middle button click on a bookmark folder) is annoying.

I think you mean accidental? However, this is a feature that many like and use every day, so i am not sure that taking the time to create a whole new option for this is the best idea. Let's wait for a developer opinion.

if you try to open too many tabs you get a dialog, that is exactly for preventing accidental opening.
on the other side we have the exact opposite request on bug 463521, so to ONLY support middle clock for containers.

So yes i think this is a WONTFIX, middle click is widely used to open containers, you can set the option browser.tabs.maxOpenBeforeWarn in about:config to a low value if you think that the default is too scary.
