There is no UI indication of being in Private Browing mode when browser.privatebrowsing.autostart is true. The title bar does not have "(Private Browsing)" at the end. I think Firefox should always indicate when the user is in this mode.
Flags: wanted-firefox3.1?
This is by design and as implemented. It seems really strange to remind a user about a permanent behaviour change.

Ok, I understand and some what agree but the browsing mode is not even set to [browsingmode=private] when browser.privatebrowsing.autostart is true so themers can't easily check for if in private browsing mode to color to URL bar since the following is ignored. [browsingmode=private] #urlbar { background: #ddd; }

Why would we want to show part of the UI indicators for permanent private browsing mode, while hide some others? Not setting browsingmode=private in permanent private browsing mode is also by design. -> WONTFIX.
