User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS i86pc; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008103107 Firefox/3.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS i86pc; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008103107 Firefox/3.0.3 This bug was reported by David Reff 0n 2004-06-28 16:10:58 PST for an earlier version of firefox. It was fixed. It has returned. I'm quoting his description of the problem, as I couldn't say it better myself. This behavior is true on firefox 3 on opensolaris snv-101a, aka 2008.11 RC1, and on ubuntu linux 8.04, but was not true on firefox 2 on either OS. Begin quote: Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the Bookmarks Sidebar. 2. Open a folder at least one screen-height down the list. 3. Click on a Bookmark in that folder. 4. Close the Bookmarks Sidebar. 5. Re-open the Bookmarks Sidebar. Actual Results: You won't be where you were a moment ago -- you'll be back to the top each time. So you have to manually scroll down to access additional Bookmarks in the same folder you started in. Expected Results: Remember where were last time you had the Bookmarks Sidebar open. Which allows you to access additional Bookmarks in the same folder without scrolling down to find your spot each time. No/default theme installed. (I term this a Major Feature because I use and rely on it constantly during my work day.) End quote. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
