when we are upgrading to a higher version of mozilla firefox , its observed that some of your bookmarks are lost , it happened to me when i migrated from version 2.0.014 to 3.0.14

you should really upgrade to 3.x since 2.x is near end of life

oh, wait when you say 3.0.14 do you mean 3.0.4?
try creating a new profile in 3.0.4 and importing you bookmarks.html from 2.x profile
