Support of cookies by Sunbird/Lightning would help server developers implement optimized solutions for large deployments of CalDAV servers :
- Help session persistence (stickiness) by load balancers
- Servers could use HttpSession replication features for clustered server environments.

I think this should be enabled by default. I would be happy with having only session cookies supported (i.e.: no need to persist them between sunbird restarts).

Note that I did try to play unsuccessfully with the "*cookie*" config options.

Simon, could you clarify what kind of servers are using this mechanism?
Given Beehive is EOL, I'm going to close this bug. If other servers need this, we can reopen.
