Details

I've noticed over the last few weeks that IMAP seems unresponsive after waking my new MacBook Pro from sleep. Clicking on folders shows "Looking up mail.mozilla.com" in the status bar, and it just sits there like that until I give up on it. Switching Shredder to offline mode, choosing not to sync, then switching it back to online mode seems to clear up the problem and then everything works again.

I don't know for sure this is what's happening, but it feels like Shredder is perhaps trying to reuse cached connections which are no longer present, and switching offline forces it to terminate them.

Better now with Bug 470274 - [Mac] Firefox cannot visit any websites when waking from sleep - and other Mac sleep/wake bugs fixed?

IMAP only issue? (no problem on POP3 or SMTP or NNTP?)
When problem occurs on IMAP, Firefox can access Web?
Do you use DHCP for PC's IP address? If yes, IP address is changed when PC wakes up? (expiration of DHCP during sleep?)
Pretty sure this was the sleep notification issue from bug 470274. It does seem to be resolved now (and the Thunderbird side of it was done on a newer bug).
