466555 - Lots of extra lines added to mail sent

If I send a straight text email message using the Thunderbird Write function, that message has about 2 Plus pages of blank lines added below the text.
I have reported this problem before and have received 0 replies with any idea as to why this happens. I believe this problem started with version 2 as I don't recall any problems with version 1.
I just installed version 2.0.0.18 on a customers laptop running Vista had it seems to be working just fine. My Home PC with XP pro doesn't have this problem. Just this laptop had the problem, and only with Thunderbird. If I use Outlook Express, it sends without adding any blank lines.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Thunderbird compose window
2. Add a  recipient address
3. Type a message
4. Click send
Actual Results:  
I can send you an email and it will have the lines added

Expected Results:  
You get an email with 2 pages of blank lines added

I sent you an email a few months ago and it had extra lines when you received it. I have not heard how I can correct the problem. There was a suggestion as I recall but it had no effect.

Any new ideas?
