User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.18) Gecko/20081031 SeaMonkey/1.1.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.18) Gecko/20081031 SeaMonkey/1.1.13 This sample url is a site which shows maps of three types - charts, satellite and hybrid. Hybrid map overlays 2 images - underlying satellite imagery (jpeg) and overlaid street chart with transparent background (PNG). It works fine on screen and in print preview but actual printed paper image shows street map on a black backgound instead of satellite images, apparently printing routine does not handle transparency in PNG files correctly. Satellite maps and charts are printed fine. Printer is a B&W laser, HP LJ 4250n with up to date drivers. This site is in Russian, quick instructions for those who don't know the language: map type is controlled by three buttons in the top-right corner of the map frame. Button labels mean: Схема (Cxema, leftmost button) - chart, Спутник (middle) - satellite, Гибрид (right) - hybrid. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open the sample url 2. print image to a printer (B&W laser?) Actual Results: street chart on a black background is printed Expected Results: street chart overlaid on top of satellite imagery is printed
This should be fixed for Gecko 1.9 (FX3, Seamonkey2). See bug 191099 comment 28.
