Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on any link on any web page to send an email, like Craigslist

Actual Results:  
nothing, not one of th mail programs were launched. I had to open Mail manually, copy and paste info from web page to email.

Expected Results:  
Mailto: should have opened a new email message to the address on the linkthis started happening after I downloaded 3.0.4 upgrade

Tested using:

Firefox 3.0.4: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4

and

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2pre) Gecko/20081120 Minefield/3.1b2pre

Both of them worked, tested thunderbird, Yahoo, and Gmail.  I don't have mail.app anymore because I uninstalled it, but launching thunderbird uses the same mechanism as launching mail.app.  I suggest trying this out in a new profile, perhaps an extension you have is preventing this from working.

This bug was reported using Firefox 3.0 or older, which is no longer supported. The bug has also not been changed in over 500 days and is still in UNCO.
Reporter, please retest this bug in Firefox 3.6.10 or later using a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles. If you still see this problem, please update the bug. If you no longer see the bug, please set the resolution to RESOLVED, WORKSFORME.
