46687 - HELO Alert message comes up when Reply or forward message in selective machine

WIn32 (2000-07-27-05 M17) on Win98 
This bug seems to occur only on Jaime's win98 machine.
1. Launch Messenger
2. Click New Msg to compose and send a message. It works fine.
3. Now forward a message or reply to a message
Actual result: an alert message comes up:
"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded 5.0.0. Polite 
people say Helo first.  Please verify that your email address is correct in your 
Mail Preferences and try again."
Note: Mail preference is OK
Expected result: should not have the Alert dialog pop up.  
I tried using Esther's win98 using different scenarios, no alert comes up. I do 
not see this problem on my win_nt 4.0 machine. Karen does not see this problem 
in her win_nt either. It seems to occur on Jaime's machine. And it is 
consistently reproducible.
4. Once the Alert comes, he cannot proceed to send message using seamonkey.

I have a smtplog file. Will attach it.

This problem is not on my machine.  It is on Jaime's.  Please let me know when
and I will coordinate the time for you and go to Jaime's cube with you.

Jaime is using the following smtp server: mail
the problem doesn't occurs with other smtp server. Reassign to mscott for 
further investigation.

Jaime said that he has not seen this bug in the PR@ final build  and this week's
M18 builds
I also use SMTP: mail in my win_nt 4.0 machine, I do not see this problem
either.
