Whenever a URL history is deleted from address bar using 'Shift + Del'..after deleting, that URL is displayed in the current active address bar. It should be removed from there as well.
Example, I accessed two songs on youtube and decided to delete one from my history as I dont need it anymore. After clicking Shift+Del on that URL, it is still displayed in address bar even though in dropdown list, some other URL is highlighted.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Access atleast 2 websites having your browser history enabled
2. Delete a URL using SHift+Del ( at this point some other URL must be highlighted but the deleted URL will still be displayed in address bar)
3.
Actual Results:
Deleted URL is displayed in address bar at that time even though a different URL is highlighted in the browser history menu.
Expected Results:
Deleted URL should not be displayed in address bar.
Summary: Link stored in address bar when deleted from URL list. → Link displayed in address bar when deleted from URL list.
Summary: Link displayed in address bar when deleted from URL list. → Link displayed in address bar when deleted from URL history list.

I stumbled across the same thing, but found a case where it worked correctly.
Here's the steps I used to produce. First delete any items that match "espn" or "scores" from your address bar history (or just realise the steps won't be exact if you don't :).
1. go to http://scores.espn.go.com/
2. go to http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboard/
3. type in "espn" in the address bar. It will match the two address above
4. press Down then Delete to delete http://scores.espn.go.com/. The item will be deleted and http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboard/ will be highlighted, however, http://scores.espn.go.com/ will still appear in the address bar.
And here's a case where it works correctly:
1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 above.
2. type in "scores" in the address bar. It will match the same to addresses above.
3. press Down and then Delete to delete http://scores.espn.go.com/. The item will be deleted and http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboard/ will be highlighted and properly appear in the address bar like it should.
I think the difference is that it is matching the start of the url (ie, "scores") instead of matching another part of the URL or the title(ie, "espn").

Sorry, their shouldn't be a trailing slash on "http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboard/" it should be "http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboard", but I think it will work either way.

The same thing is happening on Firefox 3.5b4 on WinXP.
It's really annoying, because when I delete something from the address bar with Shift+Delete it highlights something else, but the address in the address bar stays the one I delete?!

You can use only delete key, shift is not needed.
