Currently, selecting any of the "Articles language" on http://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-newsearch.php doesn't matter; if you select, say "German", you'll get a search-results URL of http://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-newsearch.php?locale=en&q=crash&where=all&sa=&filter_lang=1&l=de&lastmodif=0&type=0&author=, which, although it has |filter_lang=1| (which means true, I'm guessing), and |l=de| (language=de, German), doesn't produce German results -- they're all en-US.

It's because only en/en-US articles are being indexed by scripts/sphinx/indexer.php.

Nelson, is this being done for a reason (line 120 of indexer.php)? Adding "fr" to this line and re-indexing provided French results.

Also, I noticed that most, if not all, articles not in English don't have a description, which means they won't have a description in the search results.
Depends on: 460205
If this bug is just to be able to search in all locales (say "のカスタマイズ" in Japanese) and get proper results, than bug 460205 takes care of this.

Isn't the search results displaying the first few characters if no description is entered?
