I have 2.0.0.14 on a thumb drive which is very convenient for using other computers. When I tried to update to 3.0.4 FireFox did not install or work, and what's more it corrupted 2.0.0.14 so I (fortunatley) had a complete file set back up for the thumb drive. 2.0.0.14 works well on the thumb drive, 3.0.4 doesn't work at all!

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Tries to install 3.0.4 update on thumb drive several time. It did not work

Actual Results:  
Clicked on 3.0.4 update from 2.0.0.14 and it totally messed up my thumb drive installation, and would not work in any version.

Expected Results:  
Expected 3.0.4 update to work on thumb drive. It FAILED!

Installed seamlessly as most updates have done instead of messing up the ability to use FireFox on my thumb drive. And yes there's plenty of space it's a 4gig drive.
This is a mass search for bugs which are in the Firefox General component, are
UNCO, have not been changed for 500 days and have an unspecified version. 

Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or later, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the issue, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the status to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
