Reproducible: Always

In comparsion with an older version:
Version=3.0b1pre

Hm, I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you mean. I've tested
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; de; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081204 Thunderbird/3.0b1
and on my Mac the Beta build has the correct official Thunderbird icon.
You should keep in mind, Beta 1 now has official branding.

Thanks. My fault. You are right. Beta versions have different icon.
