I have a myspace page I haven't checked for ages, I noticed my code no longer worked for a DIV inside another DIV using z-index. I can not get my links to work unless I remove the inner DIV and just use the A href

The layout is basically

Doesnt work:
[DIV class="layout" style="z-index:6"]
    [div style"z-index:9"][a href="whatever"][img][/a][/div]

[DIV class="layout" style="z-index:6"]
   [a style"z-index:9" href="whatever"][img][/a]

What up =] ???

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a large DIV area
2.create a smaller DIV inside the larger DIV and place href anchor link inside
3.try to hit the link.
Actual Results:
nothing, z-index doesnt work and you can not hit the link

Expected Results:
expected z-index to bring the second div to the top so the link can be hit.

Testcase from the reporter ?

The testcase works fine as expected.
If you mean something different then add a correct testcase and not something basically with wrong Tags.

My fault, I tore a part the entire page and made my own html. Worked fine.

It's something with the myspace code itself.

Sorry bad bug report, thanks for checking it.

Check this link: http://pin-x.ru/firefox-bug.html
Lower div haz z-index -1 and the link inside it isn't clickable.
Is this the same bug?
Reproducible in all FF versions and Google Chrome.
Link is clickable in Opera and IE.
