User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 Almost every time I download a file, and the download is almost finished (during the 'scanning for viruses' fase) Firefox crashes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download a file using download manager 2. Wait for it to finish 3. When the message 'scanning for viruses' appears in the download manager, FireFox crashes. Actual Results: Firefox crashes Expected Results: A successfully completed download.

Do you use Norton AntiVirus? If so, please read https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458667 and http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+crashes+when+trying+to+download+a+file
Yes, I am running Norton Internet Security. Thanks for pointing me to those do0cuments. I now have disabled scanning for Microsoft Office documents, and hope that this will solve the issue.

If you report a crash again then include a Crash ID. http://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report
