Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4
I have an LG 1920x1200 monitor. If I maximise the Firefox window the top menu bar and toolbar only enlarges to about 1200px wide - the rest is filled with garbage. The status bar also fails to enlarge properly.
This happens with ActiveState Komodo IDE 5.0 as well.
The two programs exhibit this effect at the same time - usually about 48 hours after PC startup.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Komodo 5.0 and Firefox
2. Leave PC up 48 hours (with apps open??)
3. Maximise either window
Actual Results:
The screen does not redraw properly - seems mostly to be toolbars/menu/status bar.
Expected Results:
Should have filled the screen with Firefox
None

Happens with both programs? Then I don't think this is a problem Firefox is responsible for. What if you only start Komodo and another browser (if you need one) and then try again?

The problem will occur when only Firefox is running. Komodo uses the same Mozilla 'engine' (sic?) as Firefox.
My PC is an HP-Compaq dc5700 which uses system memory for video. As the effect usually only occurs after Windows XP (SP3) has been running for 48 hours or so perhaps it could be a memory issue?

Well, maybe, hard to tell. Maybe there's a temperature problem with the graphic card, would need to check with a tool if the graphic card has a temp sensor.

Peter, still see this problem?
If not, close with resolution set to INVALID if you determined the problem was not Firefox. Otherwise, set to WORKSFORME.

Problem due to insufficient memory. HP Compaq dc5700 Microtower PC uses system RAM for graphics. Upgraded from 2 to 4Gb
