In which repository for OpenSuse 10.3 do I find these debug-RPMs you ask for? TIA
(In reply to comment #3) > In which repository for OpenSuse 10.3 do I find these debug-RPMs you ask for? > > TIA a repository with debug in its name, located not far from your main "Updates" repository at opensuse.org. Once you've enabled it, use the yast2 "Software Management" function to install the appropriate debuginfo packages.
I've activated the main repository (DEBUG), main repository (OSS), main repository (NON-OSS), main repository (sources), main update repository, and packman repository but I can't find any of the packages mentioned by timeless in YaST.
In reply to comment #5: - For the gtk/gdk X11 libs, try gtk2-debuginfo. I'm not sure whether gdk-pixbuf[-gnome]-debuginfo (if any) are relevant or not. - For libgobject, try finding libgobject-debuginfo If you find no debuginfo package at all, you may have to enable a source repository.
Installed gtk2-debuginfo and gdk-pixbuf-debuginfo. Can't find anything looking like libgobject-debuginfo. myuser@linux-vdzq:~/seamonkey> ./run-mozilla.sh -g -d gdb ./seamonkey-bin MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=. (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1". (gdb) Then the application pauses, no Sm window or whatever shows up. I hope, this helped. The crash should be easyliy reproduced on a fresh openSuse 10.3. virtual machine like VirtualBox (I used). Maybe someone with more debugging experience as me can help more.
> The process don't terminate and has to be killed. when you close or restart, does it hang? I can't tell if your comment 0 indicates it doesn't crash unless you kill it. any improvement with 2.0a3? http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.0a3
